We have been working with Milford Youth Lacrosse in the off season and are very excited to share that we will be forming a Girls 5/6 Select team in collaboration with Milford. This is a program that has been in place for Medway/Milford boys lacrosse for several years and we are thrilled to now be expanding this program for the girls.  

 

 

What this means: 

• A Select team is IN ADDITION to town (classic) lacrosse. Girls MUST be registered for Medway Lacrosse program to play in the Select league. If you have not yet registered for the classic program, please Click here to Register!

·This team is a more competitive, higher level game for those seeking to grow and develop further their skills in this environment. 

·There will be at least one practice and game per week (in addition to our town practices and Sunday games). Select games are typically Friday evenings or Saturdays which begin with start of the classic season. Key dates here

·There will likely be an additional cost of registration and uniform. The formal details on this will be forthcoming, prior to the first January tryout date.(see below)

·Further details on the Select program from MYL.

·Coaches will be from both Medway Lacrosse and Milford Lacrosse programs.

How to Participate: 

·If your athlete is interested please email the player’s name and grade to the Girls Select email medwayselectglax@gmail.com. The player’s expressed interest is not a formal commitment/enrollment to the Select program.

·We will hold tryouts in January at The Park in Milford - Save the Date! 

o   Saturday, January 20th 11am-12pm

o   Saturday, January 27th 5pm-6pm

·After tryouts, we will determine the team and complete formal registration through Medway Demosphere website. 

·There will be Select practices once per week starting Saturday February 17^th from 3:30pm- 5pm at Downtown Sports in Franklin. Outdoor weekly practices will be starting late March, and details will be forthcoming once they are confirmed.

Off Season Clinics: Goldstar Lacrosse is holding a clinic on Wednesdays in January if you are interested. Downtown Sports in Franklin also holds wall ball clinics on Wednesdays in the winter. These clinics are local and offer more opportunities to get good reps, brush up on skills, and prepare your athlete for the season.
